L’anno 2014 è volto al termine portando forse un pizzico di tristezza nei cuori di molte persone. E probabilmente ognuno di noi si è ripromesso di cambiare qualcosa nella propria vita privata e professionale, per migliorare la propria situazione.
L’annata 2014, non è stata la migliore per le nostre uve, ed amareggiati abbiamo deciso di non produrre Podere San Cristoforo, Petit Verdot in purezza e nostro vino di punta. Potremo trovare mille ragioni che non sono dipese da noi e che hanno determinato il fallimento, in realtà ci rendiamo conto che occorre prendersi le proprie responsabilità per le situazioni in cui ci siamo via via trovati a convivere. Sentendo nostra ogni singola avversità, rendendola solo in parte effetto di cause esterne, riusciremo ad essere proattivi e a pensare positivo anziché accettare di subire le conseguenze e sentirsi scoraggiati. La positività è fondamentale perché ci permette di focalizzare le nostre energie su ciò che vogliamo e non perderle, inutilmente, a proteggerci da ciò che non vorremmo e che non dipende da noi. Occorre essere realisti ma non lasciare che le aspettative della società, le altre persone e le loro percezioni della realtà, abbiano impatto negativo sulla nostra vita. Infatti se siamo animati dalla passione, non ci saranno mai veri e propri fallimenti, i quali avvengono solo quando gettiamo la spugna, ci saranno sempre nuovi slanci per il miglioramento e per l’apprendimento, sempre nuove soluzioni.

Per questo Natale e per l’anno che verrà possiate attuare un cambiamento energico e positivo nella vostra vita, nell’evoluzione continua verso l’amore per voi stessi e l’umanità.

ENGLISH VERSION

2014 is ending, and is perhaps leaving a hint of sadness in the hearts of many people. Probably every one of us has promised to change something in our private or professional lives, to improve our situation.
The Vintage 2014 was not the best for our grapes, and disappointed we decided not to produce Podere San Cristoforo, our pure Petit Verdot and our flagship wine. We can find a thousand reasons that led to this failure, thousands that did not depend on us, and yet we realize that we must take some responsibility for the situations in which we gradually found ourselves. By taking ownership of some part of every adversity, by making it only partially due to the external causes, we will be enabled to take a more proactive approach and more positive outlook instead of simply suffering the consequences and feeling discouraged.
A positive approach is essential, it allows us to focus our energies on what we want and not to waste them needlessly on the things we can not control. We should be realistic but  not let the expectations of  our society, or other people’s perceptions of reality, have a negative impact on our lives. In fact, if we are driven by passion, and affirmitive willingness, there will never be real failures, that only occurs when we throw in the towel. Instead there will always be new energy for improvement and learning, always new solutions.

For this Christmas and for the coming year I wish you energetic and positive changes in your life. Another joyful step forward in the continuous evolution toward a greater love for ourselves and humanity.

SPANISH VERSION

El año 2014 ha llegado a su término llevando un poco de tristeza en los corazones de muchas personas y probablemente cada uno de nosotros se ha vuelto a proponer cambiar alguna cosa de su propia vida privada y profesional, para mejorar su propia situación. La añada 2014, no ha sido la mejor para nuestras uvas, y por ello hemos decidido no producir Podere San Cristoforo, que es la pureza del Petit Verdot y nuestro vino más prestigioso. Podríamos encontrar mil razones que no han dependido de nosotros y que han determinado este fallo, aunque la realidad es darse cuenta que hace falta encarar las propias responsabilidades a través de las situaciones que nos ha tocado vivir. Sintiendo nuestra propias limitaciones, y haciéndolas solo en parte, un efecto de causas externas, conseguiremos ser productivos y a pensar en positivo: aceptar, asumir sus consecuencias sin sentirse desilusionado.

La positividad es fundamental porque nos permite localizar nuestras energías en aquello que queremos y no perder inútilmente a protegernos de aquello que no queremos y que no depende de nosotros. Se necesita ser realistas a no dejar que las expectativas de la sociedad, de las otras personas y sus percepciones de la realidad, tengan impacto negativo en nuestra vida. Por ello si estamos animados por la pasión, no existiran nunca los verdaderos y propios fracasos sobre todo aquellos que vienen cuando tiramos la toalla; siempre encontraremos nuevas ilusiones para el mejoramiento y el conocimiento con unas nuevas soluciones.

Brindo por estas fiestas y porque el año que viene podamos actuar con un cambio energético y positivo en vuestra vida, en la evolución que continua a través del amor por nosotros mismos y hacia la humanidad.

La primavera è nel massimo del suo splendore: l’aria fresca, i cieli tersi ed i fiori che colorano i paesaggi. Non è possibile rimanere indifferenti a tale bellezza. Ammiro la perfezione degli insetti, la calma del cane alla porta; ascolto il cinguettio degli uccelli, il leggero ronzio delle piccole creature volanti ed il tempo scandito dal battito delle lancette.

Basta annusare l’aria che arrivano zaffate floreali, mielose, inebrianti. L’autunno aveva fatto cadere le foglie, aveva messo tutto a tacere, mentre l’inverno èservito come momento di pausa, di riposo, di riflessione, di autoguarigione. La vite si è staccata dai propri frutti, abbandonandosi al proprio destino per riiniziare il meraviglioso ciclo della vita, ed arriveràpresto anche per lei il momento della fioritura. La natura può sembrare cinica ai nostri occhi, cosìrapidi a dare giudizi. In realtà“tutto l'universo cospira affinché chi lo desidera con tutto séstesso possa riuscire a realizzare i propri sogni. Il segreto della vita sta nel rinnovamento, esso richiede enorme coraggio, la natura sembra essersene fatta una ragione, l’uomo no. Ogni volta che ci si libera da un fardello, pesante, che ci lega al passato, a qualcuno, a qualcosa, si comincia a correre più veloci. Se ciò non avviene, in fondo non ce ne siamo davvero liberati. E’ comunque importante capire cosa ci impedisce di realizzare i nostri sogni e crescere nel modo giusto, il contadino sa bene cosa deve essere potato e lascia solo le gemme che daranno le uve migliori.



ENGLISH VERSION

The spring is in its full splendor: fresh air, clear skies and flowers everywhere coloring the landscape. It is impossible to remain indifferent to this beauty. I find myself captivated by the perfection of insects, the calm dog at the door; tuned to the chirping of birds, the hum of winged creatures flying and feel time marked by the tick of the clock .

I smell the air, which seems to come in great floral clouds, honeyed and intoxicating. The autumn has passed with its dropping  leaves, putting everything to rest, while winter has served as a moment of breathing space, a time for recovery and healing. The vine has given up its fruits, seeming to trust in fate that harvest is more than just an ending. But instead the start to a new marvellous life cycle; and now again there will be a time for flowering.

At times nature may seem cynical to our eyes, but in fact, "the whole universe conspires so that those who want something with all their being will be able to realize their dreams. Men are responsible for their own destiny: they can commit the same mistakes, they can get separated from what they want, or from what, maybe, life has offered so generously; or they can surrender to fate and their dreams by accepting the fact that our prayers are always answered at the right time. Man must never stop dreaming. The dream is the nourishment of the soul as food is to the body. Many times, in the course of existence, we see that our dreams vanish and that our desires are frustrated, but you must continue to dream, otherwise the soul dies. The secret to life is the trust in renewal, yet it takes enormous courage. Nature seems to have ​​already accepted it, but not us. Every time we let go of a burden – we can begin to move more freely toward our dreams.  If we find ourselves stuck, or going slowly maybe there is something that is binding us to the past that we need to let go. It is important to understand what prevents us from realizing our dreams, from growing in the right way- As the good farmer knows, we must see what is to be pruned, to have faith, and to make the cut to leave the buds that will give the best grapes.

La primavera esta en el máximo de su esplendor: aire fresco, cielo limpio y flores que colorean los paisajes. No es posible quedarse indiferente a tal belleza. Admiro la perfección de los insectos, la calma del perro en la puerta; escucho el canto de los pájaros, el zumbido de pequeñas criaturas voladoras y el tiempo marcado del batido del reloj. Solo hace falta oler el aire cargado de bocanadas florales, melosas y embriagantes. El otoño había hecho caer las hojas, había silenciado todo, mientras el invierno sirvió como pausa, de reposos, de reflexión, de autocuración. La viña se ha separado de sus propios frutos, abandonándose a su propio destino para reiniciar el maravilloso ciclo de la vida y llegará pronto también para ella el momento de la floración. La naturaleza puede parecer cínica a nuestros ojos, veloces al juzgar.

El secreto de la vida esta en el renovarse, eso pide un enorme coraje, la naturaleza parece que ya se ha hecho una razón, el hombre no. Cada vez que se libra de una carga, pesada, que lo liga al pasado, a alguno, a alguna cosa, se empieza a correr más rápido.  Si esto no pasa, es que en el fondo no nos hemos verdaderamente liberados. Y igualmente es importante entender que cosa nos impide realizar nuestros sueños y crecer de la mejor manera, el campesino sabe bien lo que se tiene que podar y deja solo las gemas que darán las uvas mejores.
